About the Role
As a Store Manager, you will run your own golf store and lead your own team. This position is part of the Worldwide Golf family, which operates over 95 stores in 25+ states and has been in business for over 50 years. You will build and maintain a store culture consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy, while driving sales, profitability, and exceeding financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Golfdom brand ambassador in the local community, building key external relationships and partnerships.
- Control shrink and expenses while ensuring the sales floor is adequately stocked, signed, and merchandise is displayed to brand standards.
- Execute all visual merchandising programs, modules, and direction as dictated by the Store Operations Department.
- Actively recruit for all team positions within the store and create strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Help employees grow their careers and skill sets by identifying additional opportunities for development.
- Respond to negative customer experiences by de-escalating situations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Use customer feedback to recognize and coach employees.
- Evaluate employee performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management, meetings, walk-throughs, and audits.
- Partner with the Regional Manager and Human Resources on all issues involving “on-notice” situations.
- Create and manage employee schedules, adjusting as needed to meet business demands.
- Monitor company communication tools daily and ensure employees adhere to company expectations.
- Address policy violations in partnership with the Regional Manager in a fair, timely, and consistent manner.
- Maintain strong knowledge of all golf products and ensure employees can educate customers on offerings.
- Identify and suggest process improvements.
Requirements
- Effectively manage, direct, and lead store staff.
- Demonstrate knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register systems.
- Working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet, and order processing systems.
- Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret business reports, correspondence, and procedures with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Physical ability to access all areas of the store, including standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds.
- Operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store; occasional travel may be required (e.g., corporate or regional meetings).
- Work varied hours/days as business dictates.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in retail management or the golf industry is required.
- General golf knowledge/background is required.
- High school diploma or GED is required; college degree is a plus but not required.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually, including quarterly bonuses based on store sales. Individual starting pay within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
