Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in executing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role is designed to develop external candidates for future store management positions. Key Responsibilities Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.Participate in merchandising, stocking, and proper merchandise presentation.Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and a secure environment for customers and staff.Handle store opening and closing, cash handling, and financial integrity.Review operational data to identify sales, expense, and inventory trends.Operate the store in the absence of the Store Manager and complete necessary documentation. Qualifications & Skills Strong reading, math, and cash handling skills.Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and safety procedures.Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred. Physical & Work Conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.Occasional climbing and driving.Fast-paced environment with exposure to outside weather.
