Job Responsibilities/Tasks
- Maintains and improves customer service by monitoring and analyzing the service provided by team members.
- Greets customers and clinic patients, offers assistance, and models customer service best practices.
- Solves customer complaints and assists with special needs.
- Supervises store and pharmacy operations, including opening/closing, shift changes, and team member scheduling.
- Controls store money, manages inventory, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures store cleanliness and maintenance, and responds to emergencies.
- Manages operations to meet district manager feedback and ensures compliance with company policies.
- Trains and develops team members, monitors their progress, and addresses performance issues.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Daily Planning and Execution
- Assigns daily operational responsibilities and tasks to store team members and assistant managers.
- Establishes expectations and tracks performance.
Business Performance Management
- Analyzes financial and performance data to increase sales and control costs.
- Reviews Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) daily and prepares for discussions with district management.
- Analyzes pharmacy and clinic performance indicators and collaborates with managers to enhance performance.
Business Planning
- Identifies sales opportunities to drive store and pharmacy growth.
People and Performance Management
- Manages team member performance by assigning responsibilities, setting goals, and providing feedback.
- Makes hiring, promotion, and termination decisions, and engages with Employee Relations and Human Resources as needed.
- Develops employee performance plans and ensures timely completion of required training.
- Promotes teamwork and motivates team members by establishing clear expectations and communicating openly.
Training and Personal Development
- Participates in company and on-the-job training to improve skills and productivity.
- Attends training requested by District Management and corporate, including completing the Walgreens School of Operations within six months.
- Obtains pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by state law, and pursues PTCB or ExCPT certification if required.
- Seeks self-development by monitoring own performance, setting high standards, and engaging in continuous learning.
Communications
- Serves as a liaison between district, corporate, and the store to facilitate communication, provide feedback, and implement initiatives.
- Conducts community outreach and assists in planning and attending community events.
