About the role
We are seeking a Store Manager who will lead our team in achieving sales targets, recruiting, developing, and managing employee performance. This position requires a strong leader who can handle various challenges and foster a collaborative and passionate team environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure store achieves sales plan and/or comp sales goals
- Recruit, develop, and retain a team to run the store
- Create buzz and customer engagement through social media, store web applications, and clienteling
- Operate a sound business with a balance of organizational structure, delegation, and customer-first selling practices
- Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback
- Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy
- Maintain inventory and prevent shrinkage
- Merchandise the store in a compelling way, launching promotions on time
- Build a bench of equally talented and passionate staff through mentorship, recognition, and feedback
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience
- Skills in communication, recruiting, and operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising)
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree is preferred
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise product, and pack/unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
- Open-minded and inquisitive about pop culture fandoms and music trends
