About the role
We're looking for a Store Manager who can bring the fandom to life. Your responsibilities include leading the store in achieving sales targets, recruiting and retaining a passionate team, and managing operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the store achieves its sales plan and/or comp sales goals
- Recruit, develop, and retain a team to run the store
- Create buzz and engage customers through social media, store apps, and clienteling
- Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, schedules, and external factors affecting business
- Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback
- Run sales reports and use data to guide strategies
- Maintain a strong merchandise display and launch promotions on time
- Build a bench of talented staff through mentorship, recognition, and feedback
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience
- Skills in communication, recruiting, and operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising)
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and catch curveballs
- Open-minded and inquisitive about pop culture fandoms and trends
Qualifications
- Able to navigate the store, merchandise product, and pack/unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with retail technology and systems
Benefits
BoxLunch offers competitive compensation starting at $22.25 - $27.85 per hour, with other factors determining the final salary for potential new hires.
