Store Leader

About the role

The Store Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in The Dalles, OR. This position is responsible for leading the store team to deliver an outstanding customer experience, drive sales, and achieve profitability goals.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and scheduling team members
• Oversight of floor sets and visual merchandising
• Ensuring accurate execution of operational processes such as inventory management, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures
• Partnership in recruiting, training, and developing associates
• Providing regular feedback and performance mentoring
• Maintaining store standards
• Promoting a safe and inclusive environment
• Modeling maurices’ values and brand voice in all customer and team interactions

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and leadership
• Excellent Customer Service and Retail Sales skills to create engaging experiences and drive store performance
• Solid Organization Skills to manage scheduling, merchandising, and daily store operations efficiently
• Training skills to onboard, coach, and develop store associates
• Prior retail leadership experience (beneficial)
• Ability to analyze sales reports (beneficial)
• Proficiency with basic computer and POS systems (beneficial)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays (beneficial)
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is an asset (beneficial)
