Store Executive Intern (Store Leadership Intern) – North/West of Sacramento, CA (Starting Summer 2027)

This internship offers a firsthand experience of leading a retail team within a Target store. It's a paid, 40-hour/week, hands-on training program designed to prepare you for a store leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Spend time on the salesfloor and backroom, leading team members and aligning daily business priorities.
- Work alongside an Executive Team Lead (ETL) mentor and other leaders to understand their roles.
- Lead daily priorities such as stocking shelves, ensuring a safe environment, and building displays.
- Partner with leaders on team member performance, providing coaching and feedback.
- Address team member concerns and remove operational hurdles.
- Lead daily huddles, plan goals, and organize tasks within the store.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify and address opportunity areas.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by empowering team members.
- Provide new ideas and solutions to business and team challenges.
- Actively participate in training, seek growth opportunities, and ask for feedback.
- Foster an inclusive, equitable, safe, and secure culture.
- Engage with guests, solve their needs, and create a welcoming experience.

Qualifications
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
- Access all areas of the building.
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information.
- Handle cash register operations.
- Climb ladders and move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Operate handheld scanners and other technology.
Schedule
Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
Pay
The pay range per hour is $28.00 - $28.75. Pay is based on factors such as labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
