Store Environmental Team Member

About the role

Store team member responsible for maintaining a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness, recovery standards, and delivering our Brand Promises.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop our store and find what they’re looking for.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment; may require mixing water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high-traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.

Requirements

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting taking care of customers; all public areas are climate controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
• Some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks.
• Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
• Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

Pay

Total base pay range for this position: $13.75 - $15.90. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with state and local laws.
