About the role
Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver the company’s Brand Promises. Provide friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
- Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct locations.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment; may require mixing water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
- Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high-traffic areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance.
- Take initiative to identify and complete cleaning tasks.
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
- Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
- Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
- Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
- Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Requirements
- Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Capability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
- Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
- Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
Work Environment
- Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
- Some outdoor work, such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
- Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
Pay
Total base pay range for this position: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with state and local laws.
