Store Environment Team Member

About the role

Store team member responsible for maintaining a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness, recovery standards, and delivering our Brand Promises. Provides friendly customer service and assists customers in finding products.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment; may require mixing water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Deep cleans key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high-traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Keeps cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notifies supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintains positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
• Projects a positive image and serves as a role model for other team members.
• Provides a fast and friendly checkout experience; executes cash handling to standards.
• Engages customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and completes enrollments.
• Assists with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participates in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Supports shrink and safety programs.
• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
• Public retail store setting; climate-controlled public areas, some non-climate-controlled stock rooms, and occasional outdoor work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Pay

Total base pay range for this position: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with state and local laws.
