Store Engineering Semi Driver

About the role

Join Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Store Engineering Department as a Delivery Driver where you will be responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of equipment/fixtures and materials from vendors and Kwik Trip retail locations. This person will also work in the Store Engineering Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload warehouse supplies and equipment
• Verify purchase order requests and track warehouse inventory items
• Operate forklifts and comply with all OSHA and DOT safety requirements
• Maintain log books and vehicle inspection reports
• Work closely with several Kwik Trip Departments
• Assist with the organization and upkeep of the Store Engineering Warehouse

Qualifications

Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL with a good driving record; prior commercial driving experience is required. Candidates should also possess the following:

• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation to identify and diagnose potential mechanical challenges
• Ability to operate a piggyback lift to load/unload trucks
• Familiarity with the surrounding area to facilitate timely pick-ups and deliveries
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service as this person has primary interaction with retail locations
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Understand and accurately complete invoice paperwork
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Willingness to learn/perform a variety of job tasks
• Ability to exercise sound judgment within company guidelines
• Work with minimal supervision
• Work in a fast-paced safety conscious environment
• Willingness to work in all temperature conditions
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to operate a personal computer
• Knowledge of or ability to learn Maximo

Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous warehouse and forklift experience is a plus. Must live or relocate to the La Crosse, WI area.

Schedule

Typically Monday through Friday, daytime hours; however, it may include occasional evenings and weekends. It may also include occasional overnight stays.
