Store Driver
About the role
As a Driver, you will safely deliver parts to professional customers, manage returns, promote sales programs, and maintain strong customer relationships. You’ll also assist with stocking, store cleanliness, and sales support.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Collect credit accounts on a daily basis
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing insights to the CPP
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- Perform general stocking duties, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications
- Automotive parts experience is preferred
Physical Demands
The role requires predominantly walking or standing. You must be able to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily indoors, but you will occasionally work outside and be exposed to various weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. You may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
Pay
The good faith estimate for this role is between $16.40 USD and $17.75 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant skillsets, as well as shift differential (if applicable).
