Store Driver

About the role
As a Driver, you will safely deliver parts to professional customers, maintain store cleanliness, and build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers. You’ll also assist in upselling products, stocking inventory, and engaging with walk-in customers to recommend appropriate parts or services.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing insights to the CPP
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- General stocking, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with customers, peers, and leadership
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques

Physical Demands
The role requires frequent walking or standing, talking, hearing, and using hands to handle or feel objects. You must be able to:
- Reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
The work environment includes both indoor and occasional outdoor tasks, such as installing batteries and wiper blades in various weather conditions. You may also be exposed to:
- Moving mechanical parts
- High, precarious places
- Toxic or caustic chemicals
- Risk of electrical shock and explosives
- Vibration
- Moderate noise levels
Pay
The good faith estimate for this role is between $16.40 USD and $17.75 USD per hour for new team members. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant skillsets.
