Store Driver

About the role

As a Driver, you will safely deliver parts to professional customers, maintain store cleanliness, and build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers. You’ll also assist in upselling products, stocking inventory, and engaging with walk-in customers to recommend appropriate parts or services.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing insights to the Commercial Parts Pro (CPP)
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• General stocking, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Pay

The good faith estimate for this role is between $16.40 USD and $17.75 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant skillsets. Shift differential may apply where applicable.
