About the role
This position involves delivering parts to professional customers, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking inventory, and engaging with customers to drive sales. You will be cross-trained as a salesperson, allowing you to assist with upselling, cross-selling, and building customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing insights to the CPP
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- General stocking, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with customers, peers, and leadership
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Willingness to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques

Qualifications
- Automotive parts experience is preferred
Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing during work hours
- Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to weather conditions (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades)
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
Pay
The good faith estimate for this role is between $15.00 USD and $16.13 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant skillsets. Shift differentials may apply.
