About the Role

A Driver at our company is responsible for safely delivering parts to professional customers, maintaining store cleanliness, and building strong customer relationships while promoting sales and loyalty programs.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing insights to the CPP
  • Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
  • General stocking, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
  • Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
  • Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
  • Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
  • Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Predominantly walking or standing
  • Talking, hearing, and using hands and fingers to handle or feel
  • Reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

  • Primarily working inside, but occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment
