Advance Auto Parts is seeking a professional Delivery Driver to support our Commercial Sales program. This role is the face of Advance to our professional customers and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to professional customers
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
  • Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
  • General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
  • Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
  • Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
  • Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
  • Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will predominantly be walking or standing
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Qualifications

  • Automotive parts experience is preferred

Pay

The good faith estimate for this role is between $16.40 USD and $17.75 per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
