Store Driver

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned during deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Physical Demands

• Predominantly walking or standing during work hours
• Ability to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Primarily working inside, but occasionally outside and exposed to various weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration
• Moderate noise level in the work environment

Pay

The good faith estimate for this role is between $12.77 USD and $13.21 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant skillsets, including shift differential (if applicable).
