Automotive parts delivery driver responsible for safe, timely delivery of parts to professional customers and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned during deliveries
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- General stocking including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques

Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing
- Must be able to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to various weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
