About the Role
A Driver at our company is responsible for safely delivering parts to professional customers, managing returns, promoting sales, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role involves a mix of delivery, customer service, sales support, and store maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing insights to the CPP
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- General stocking, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques

Preferred Experience
- Automotive parts experience is preferred
Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing during work hours
- Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Primarily working inside, but occasional outdoor exposure to various weather conditions (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades)
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
