Store Driver

About the role
As a Driver, you will safely deliver parts to professional customers, manage returns, promote sales and loyalty programs, and maintain strong customer relationships. You’ll also assist with store upkeep, stocking, and sales support.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Collect daily credit accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing insights to the Commercial Parts Pro (CPP)
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- Perform general stocking duties, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
- Maintain product knowledge, including inventory and new arrivals, to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with customers, peers, and leadership
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques

Qualifications
- Automotive parts experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing during shifts
- Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to weather while performing tasks such as battery or wiper blade installation
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic/caustic chemicals, electrical shock risks, explosives, and vibration
- Moderate noise levels
Pay
The good faith estimate for this role is between $16.40 and $17.75 USD per hour for new team members. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant skills. Shift differentials may apply.
