ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vacuums, sweeps, and mops flooring and stairs.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
- Dusts and cleans dressing rooms, store fixtures, office desks, furniture, etc.
- Cleans windowsills and windows.
- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
- Monitor inventory, cleaning supplies and paper products, for specific assigned work areas; re-supply when needed.
- Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices & ensure standards are maintained for the department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- 6 months of custodial experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills i.e. ability to communicate positively and consistently with the customer, co-workers and supervisor; delivering professional consistent results.
