Store Counter Sales

About the role

We are looking for a NAPA Counter Sales associate to join our team. As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers' automotive needs. You will provide auto parts answers and solutions for our retail and wholesale customers, assist other team members, and provide outstanding customer care.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
• Assist other NAPA team members with customer questions
• Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into our NAPA Store
• Welcome retail customers into our retail stores and engage to provide a positive consumer experience
• Use technology, including computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalog systems

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or GED, with technical or trade school courses or degree a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers

Qualifications

• Background and/or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
• ASE Certifications

Pay

This position offers a starting hourly rate of $17.75, with pay progression and opportunities to reach the top end of the range within 12 months of hire.
