Store Counter Sales

About the role

We are seeking talented individuals to join our NAPA family. As a NAPA Counter Sales Associate, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers in our retail stores, providing them with automotive solutions and assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for both retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter and over the phone.
• Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering questions for customers.
• Offer outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters our NAPA Store.
• Welcome retail customers into our retail stores and engage with them to provide a positive consumer experience.
• Utilize technology such as computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalogs to enhance customer service.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers.

Qualifications

• Technical or Trade school courses or degree.
• Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of cataloging and inventory management systems (a plus).
• Customer-centric (external/internal).
• ASE Certifications (optional but preferred).

Pay

This position offers an hourly pay of $19.25. Pay progression with set starting rates and the potential to reach the top end of this range within 12 months of hire. For other positions, the starting rate will be determined based on individual skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

Hours vary based on store location and shift preferences.
