Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for excellent customer service
• Cash handling and accounting
• Stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise
• Housekeeping inside and outside of the store
• Store safety and store security
• Deli food sales and cooking
• Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise
• Remember regular customers’ names and faces
• Answer and screen phone calls
• Police the store
• Detect shoplifters
• Listen to and handle customer complaints
• Stock shelves and coolers
• Complete accurate and effective completion of shift work
• Clean and maintain all areas of the store
• Complete vendor check-in procedures
• Complete the protocol system and “drive off” controls
• Advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance
• Sweep the lot
• Shovel snow
• Clean gas pumps
• Fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands
• Complete any other duties assigned by management
• Keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked
• Perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description
