Store Baker - Full Time

Job Responsibilities

• Mixes and prepares raw materials according to company specifications and recipes.
• Forms, cuts, molds, shapes, and bakes dough.
• Makes sure cooking completion times are monitored and heat and humidity temperatures are set for proof box.
• Checks products to ensure they meet Whole Foods Market quality standards.
• Completes temp, sweep, and sanitation logs.
• Arrives on time, groomed, dressed, and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs, and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Fulfills all established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains and ensures maintenance of a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with Whole Foods Market cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Standing/walking 6-8 hours per day.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Exposure to wet and dry conditions.
• Ability to work in a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
• May require use of ladders.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months retail experience.

The wage range for this position is $20.00-$29.73 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market hires and promotes individuals solely based on qualifications for the position to be filled and business needs.
