About the role

The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment. You'll have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of customers, supporting their healthcare needs and helping them navigate various services offered by the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs and resolving potential service issues promptly.
• Give a warm and friendly greeting, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating additional items as needed.
• Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and managing inventory tasks.
• Support opening and closing store activities, when needed.
• Offer customer support to all departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational, and stay updated with new services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth and career development.
• Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that support our mission of helping people on their path to better health.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly.
• Having close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspections involving small parts/details.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $15.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, and location.
