Store Assistant Manager

About the role

The Store Assistant Manager partners with the Store Manager on all store operations, guiding, developing, and motivating a team to ensure an exceptional customer experience aligned with the company’s brand values.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection meet company standards.
• Create amazing customer experiences through strong client focus and collaboration, motivating the team to deliver memorable experiences.
• Implement visual merchandising directives to maintain the company's brand strategies.
• Ensure appropriate replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention, safety policies, and company directives.
• Assist in store operations, including training, sales, visual merchandising, inventory management, store administration, cleaning duties, and customer service.
• Foster an environment of development and accountability.
• Process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Assist the Store Manager in the selection and hiring of qualified candidates.
• Be flexible and occasionally perform work outside your specific role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate people, resources, and services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations, including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Experience in staff development, including staffing, coaching, and counseling.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
