Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with oversight of the Stationstore operations.
• Help with hiring, supervising, and working with the staff to accomplish daily tasks, bookkeeping, and merchandising.
• Maintain high standards and provide fast and friendly service to customers.
• Provide regular and predictable onsite attendance.
• Execute the food program to set standards.
• Care for customers and set an example for staff.
• Display a sense of urgency, patience, and leadership.
• Lead a team of employees and management.
• Handle recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.
• Delegate tasks and follow up on their completion.
• Teach and motivate others.
• Plan and organize operations.
• Communicate plans and ideas effectively.
• Manage cash-handling and bookkeeping.
• Solve problems and advocate for customers with empathy.
• Maintain safety and security standards.

Requirements

• Retail experience (preferred).
• Supervisor or management experience (preferred).
• Recruiting, hiring, and interviewing skills (preferred).
• Experience handling food (preferred).
• High School or College Degree(s) (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
• Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
• Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift.
• Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands, requiring eye-hand coordination.
• May require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs.

Pay

Hiring range: $18.38 to $20.29 per hour.

Schedule

Full time, flexible shifts including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
