Store Assistant (Bonused)

About the Role

You will assist the Store Manager with oversight of the Stationstore operations, including hiring, supervising, and working with staff to accomplish daily tasks, bookkeeping, and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations, including maintaining high standards and providing fast, friendly customer service.
• Hire, supervise, and motivate staff to accomplish daily tasks.
• Handle bookkeeping and merchandising responsibilities.
• Maintain regular and predictable onsite attendance.
• Execute the food program to set standards.
• Lead by example in customer service, displaying urgency, patience, and leadership.
• Demonstrate skills in team leadership, delegation, follow-up, teaching, planning, communication, cash-handling, problem-solving, and safety/security.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

• Retail experience.
• Supervisor or management experience.
• Recruiting, hiring, and interviewing skills.
• Experience handling food.
• High School or College Degree(s).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes in a shift.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
• Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
• Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour per shift.
• Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands, requiring eye-hand coordination.
• May require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs.

Pay

Hiring range: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Schedule

Flexible availability required, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Full time position.
