Storage Customer Service Representative

About the Role

Join U-Haul as a Storage Customer Service Representative and be the face of our exceptional service. You’ll work as part of a support team to assist customers with their storage and equipment needs, ensuring they get all the help they require on their journeys. This position offers on-the-job education and the opportunity to start and get paid the same day. Schedule two hands-on working interviews and receive payment for each, plus a $100 hiring bonus. Earn an additional $300 cash bonus upon completing U-Haul’s Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores.

Responsibilities

• Support the site manager with facility operations.
• Answer phone inquiries from active and prospective customers.
• Show storage units, explain rental agreement terms, and prepare contracts.
• Perform general property cleanup and minor repair work.
• Ensure vacant storage units are clean, dry, secure, and ready for new customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

The role involves moderate risks or discomforts, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (e.g., masks, goggles, gloves, or shields) may be required.

Physical Demands

The work requires physical exertion, including long periods of standing or moving both indoors and outdoors, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs (assisted or unassisted).
