Stockroom Specialist

Position Purpose
The individual in this position is responsible for improving all MRO stock room functions. This includes but is not limited to the assessment of parts on order, reorder point, storeroom transaction accuracy, inventory control and the development of the transaction less sign out of parts. This role's function is to improve the efficiency of the Maintenance staff by kitting work orders, establishing optimized parts storage and work order improvements. Additional functions include participating in lean management programs, daily cycle counts, and maintaining the inventory and the development of bill of materials for all work orders.
Responsibilities
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Maintain and optimize an accurate spare parts inventory system (DataStream) to ensure parts are available for production machinery and preventative maintenance.
- Enter and close Work Orders or Preventative Maintenance tasks into DataStream from mechanics daily work sheets or Preventative Maintenance sheets.
- Responsible for auditing work order sheets and verify that information entered into the PM system is accurate.
- Work with CMMS vendor to develop automated paperless work order process.
- Develop and maintain appropriate min/max levels for maintenance parts.
- Inventory Control/Scheduling
- Manage RFID program for tracking parts and kitting work orders.
- Perform daily cycle counts in the maintenance stockroom to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Keep stockroom organized, clean and shelves properly labeled.
- On a weekly basis schedule, assign and ensure completion of Quality sheets.
- Procurement
- Receive incoming parts, reconcile packing slips with purchasing orders, and receive into SAP and CARL.
- Work with Motion Industries on VMI to ensure pricing accuracy and availability.
Experience Qualifications & Requirements
- 5-7 years administrative experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Systems.
- General knowledge of inventory control systems.
- General operating knowledge of computer programs, including Excel, Word.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the purchasing process.
Education
- High School degree required.
Other Requirements
- Solid analytical skills.
- Self-starter with minimal oversight.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing processes.
Pay
$22.07 - $28.69 per hour.
