Stockroom Lead Supervisor - Hendersonville, NC

About the role

The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. They ensure proper merchandise presentation, maintain a clean work area at all times, execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed, and manage the front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by understanding safety is the number one priority and practicing safe behaviors.
• Ensure customer safety by preventing accidents, reporting incidents, and responding to emergencies.
• Manage store security, including controlling access, checking EAS devices, and handling cash office security.
• Provide excellent customer service by treating all customers, associates, and leaders with respect and professionalism.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Manage the front-end operations, train and coach associates, and ensure proper supplies and recovery for the Front End area.
• Supervise associates in fitting rooms, ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of the Fitting Rooms and adherence to Company policy.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications and Special Skills

• Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
• Some positions may require additional qualifications and skills.
