About the role

The Stockroom Clerk/Parts Runner - Hybrid is an entry level job with little or no prior relevant work experience. This role will acquire basic skills to perform routine tasks. Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy and with close supervision or under clearly defined procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Store purchased parts in stockroom bins and issue parts to technicians upon request.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts received and issued and perform periodic inventory count of parts in storeroom.
  • Work with and support all phases of shipping and receiving, control supplies and tools.
  • Ability to interface professionally with vendors, customers, management, and peers.
  • Ship and receive parts and supplies.
  • Pull, put away, and inventory supplies, tools and materials.
  • Receive and ship UPS and Fed Ex order daily.
  • Deliver received items to addressees in a timely fashion.
  • Press tires as needed.
  • Participate in Parts Department general inventory counts.
  • Sweep and mop floors regularly.
  • Perform various duties that are directly or indirectly associated with company activity, as assigned.
  • Pick up and deliver parts to shops, vendors, and customers in a timely manner.
  • Load and unload parts safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and report any maintenance issues.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Organizational Time Management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, co-workers, and managers in other departments.
  • Willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Be willing to support all phases of the department and company as needed.
  • Be willing to continually learn new products and procedures.
  • Be able to interpret parts manual and use related computer programs.
  • Be capable of learning all phases of the Parts Department operation with the desire to increase responsibility as the need develops.
  • Ability and willingness to think outside the box.
  • Present a clean, neat appearance.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy work area.
  • Maintain a professional attitude in all matters.
  • Be motivated to continue self-development and training.
  • Must be able to produce a Valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position High school diploma or general educational development (GED), Three months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Travel Requirement: 25% (10 hours a week).
  • Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.

  • The employee is occasionally required to smell.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.

Pay Range

The hourly range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
