About the role
Petersen Industries LLC is seeking a CNC Operator in Lake Wales, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, parts, components, and supplies; verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately stock inventory in designated storage locations using established inventory control procedures.
- Pick, stage, and issue materials to production departments according to work orders and production schedules.
- Perform inventory transactions using the company's ERP, MRP, or inventory management system.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe stockroom areas.
- Label, package, and store materials according to company procedures and safety requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment to move inventory throughout the facility.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervision of inventory shortages or replenishment needs.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and material flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of stockroom, warehouse, inventory control, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred. Experience in heavy equipment, truck manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Basic understanding of inventory control principles. Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing slips, bills of material, and inventory documentation. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and inventory software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Physical Requirements: Frequently stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift. Frequently use hands and fingers for handling, grasping, sorting, and manipulating materials. Frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or stairs. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, welding operations, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color recognition, depth perception, and the ability to read labels, inventory records, and computer screens.
- Work Environment: Manufacturing and warehouse environment supporting the production of grapple trucks, grapple loaders, knuckle boom loaders, and related equipment. Exposure to industrial equipment, moving machinery, forklifts, and production operations. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, safety-toe footwear, hearing protection, gloves, and other PPE as required. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
