Stockroom and Shipping Clerk

Primary Responsibilities
- Put away newly received material into assigned stockroom locations.
- Prioritize, pull, and issue material for shop orders to support production.
- Verify and return material from production to assigned stockroom locations at the completion of shop orders.
- Perform daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through inventory transactions and reconciliation activities.
- Organize and maintain stockroom locations for efficient material flow.
- Ensure all material is handled and stored according to FIFO guidelines.
- Identify, report, and help reconcile inventory discrepancies, damaged material, or missing inventory.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed, including packaging shipments, preparing packing slips, and assisting with freight shipments.
- Process inventory transactions accurately within the ShopworX ERP system.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom environment.
- Work with production, purchasing, and receiving teams to support material priorities and customer needs.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in stockroom, shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control is helpful but not required.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs are helpful but not required.
- Experience with ERP systems is helpful but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities is important.
- Good communication and teamwork skills are beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, stretch, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs independently and up to 70 lbs with assistance.
- May occasionally be required to work overtime.
