Stocker - Produce

About the role

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor providing savings, selection, and service to independent restaurants, caterers, and not-for-profits. As a Stocker in the Produce department, you will deliver prompt and courteous customer service, stock products on shelves, and maintain clean and safe work areas throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service.
• Removes boxes from pallets and places them on shelves; opens boxes and removes single items to re‑stock shelves.
• Organizes and front‑faces items on shelves.
• Performs proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations.
• Assists in the review of inventory for product rotation daily to prevent shrinkage and damages.
• Ensures shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing.
• Follows a program to maintain warehouse cleanliness via regular maintenance schedule of scrubbing, pulling out pallets, and cleaning underneath.
• Continuously reviews department floor status for safety hazards; promptly and safely handles spills and removes trash such as plastic wrap, ties, wood pieces, etc.
• Works with Hi‑Lo operators to keep the selling floor stocked and safe by returning overstock pallets to overhead reserves.
• Promptly informs supervisors of any low‑stock or out‑of‑stock merchandise.

Requirements

• Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours/day.
• Frequently turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending.
• Frequently pushing/pulling objects 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects more than 60 lbs.
• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures.
• Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters).
• May be required to work in other departments as needed.
