Stocker - Perishables

About the Role

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor serving independent restaurants, caterers, and not-for-profits. We provide customers with the right products at competitive prices in the quantities they need, operating 150+ warehouses and distribution centers across 37 states.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service.
• Stock product on shelves by removing boxes from pallets, opening boxes, and placing items on shelves.
• Organize and front-face items on shelves.
• Perform inspections to meet HACCP regulations.
• Review inventory daily for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages.
• Ensure shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness through regular scrubbing, pallet removal, and cleaning underneath.
• Monitor department floors for safety hazards, promptly handling spills and removing trash (e.g., plastic wrap, ties, wood).
• Work with Hi-Lo operators to keep the selling floor stocked and safe by returning overstock pallets to overhead reserves.
• Report low stock or out-of-stock merchandise to supervisors promptly.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned, including assisting in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Walking/standing on concrete for up to 10 hours per day.
• Frequent turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Frequent pushing/pulling of objects weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequent lifting/carrying of objects over 60 lbs.
• Exposure to cold/freezing temperatures.
• Ability to work in an environment with moving equipment (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters).
