Stocker - Meat

About the Role

Restaurant Depot, a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor, is seeking a Stocker for the Meat Department. Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service
• Remove boxes from pallets and place them on shelves
• Open boxes and remove single items to re-stock shelves
li>Organize and front-face items on shelves
• Perform inspections to meet HACCP regulations
• Assist in daily inventory review for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages
• Ensure shelf pricing is correct and up-to-date
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness through regular scrubbing, pallet removal, and cleaning
• Monitor department floors for safety hazards and promptly address spills and trash
• Work with Hi-Lo operators to keep the selling floor stocked and safe
• Inform supervisors of low stock or out-of-stock merchandise

Physical Demands

• Walking/standing on concrete for up to 10 hours/day
• Frequent turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and bending
• Frequent pushing/pulling objects weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs
• Frequent lifting/carrying objects weighing more than 60 lbs

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures
• Equipment in motion, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scooters
