Stocker - Freezer

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor. Our mission is to provide independent restaurants, caterers, and not-for-profits with savings, selection, and service, 7 days a week. We operate 150+ warehouses and distribution centers in 37 states.

About the role

Responsible for providing prompt and courteous customer service, stocking product on shelves, and maintaining clean and safe work areas throughout the warehouse. This is an hourly, union position with 8-10 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service.
• Removes boxes from pallets and places them on shelves; opens boxes and removes single items to re-stock shelves.
• Organizes and front faces items on shelves.
• Performs proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations.
• Assists in daily inventory review for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages.
• Ensures shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing.
• Follows a regular maintenance schedule to maintain warehouse cleanliness, including scrubbing and cleaning underneath pallets.
• Continuously reviews department floors for safety hazards; promptly and safely handles spills and removes trash.
• Works with Hi-Lo operators to keep the selling floor stocked and safe by returning overstock pallets to overhead reserves.
• Promptly informs supervisors of any low stock or out-of-stock merchandise.
• Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned; may be required to work in other departments as needed.

Physical Demands

• Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours per day.
• Frequently turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending.
• Frequently pushing/pulling objects weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects over 60 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures.
• Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters).
