Stocker - Freezer

About the role

Responsible for providing prompt and courteous customer service, stocking product on shelves, and maintaining clean and safe work areas throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service
• Remove boxes from pallets and place them on shelves; open boxes and remove single items to re-stock shelves
• Organize and front-face items on shelves
• Perform proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations
• Assist in daily inventory review for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages
• Ensure shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness through a regular maintenance schedule of scrubbing and pulling out pallets, cleaning underneath
• Continuously review department floors for safety hazards; promptly and safely handle spills and remove trash such as plastic wrap, ties, wood pieces, etc.
• Work with Hi-Lo operators to keep the selling floor stocked and safe by returning overstock pallets to overhead reserves
• Promptly inform supervisors of any low stock or out-of-stock merchandise
• Perform other work-related duties as required and assigned; may be required to work in other departments as needed

Physical Demands

• Walking and standing on concrete up to 10 hours per day
• Frequent turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and bending
• Frequent pushing and pulling of objects weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of objects over 60 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to cold and freezing temperatures
• Equipment in motion, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scooters
