Stocker - Freezer

About the Role

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor serving independent restaurants, caterers, and not-for-profits. We operate 150+ warehouses in 37 states. We are seeking a Freezer Stocker to provide prompt customer service, stock products, and maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service
• Removes boxes from pallets and places them on shelves; opens boxes and removes single items to restock shelves
• Organizes and front-faces items on shelves
• Performs proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations
• Assists in daily inventory product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages
• Ensures shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing
• Maintains warehouse cleanliness through regular scrubbing and cleaning underneath pallets
• Continuously monitors department floors for safety hazards; promptly handles spills and removes trash (plastic wrap, ties, wood pieces, etc.)
• Works with Hi-Lo operators to return overstock pallets to overhead reserves and keep selling floor stocked and safe
• Promptly informs supervisors of low stock/out-of-stock merchandise
• Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned; may work in other departments as needed

Physical Demands

• Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours/day
• Frequently turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending
• Frequently pushing/pulling objects 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects more than 60 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures
• Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters)
