STOCKER - EVENING / FOOD GIANT EDDYVILLE KY

About the role

Position needed for evening hours, approximately 2:00 PM until closing. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and issuing sales floor merchandise, stocking shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise, arranging displays, taking physical counts, answering customer questions, providing friendly and prompt service, cleaning and maintaining display cases, shelves, equipment, and aisles, properly recording shift hours, and discussing stock issues with management.

Responsibilities

• Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise on selection.
• Stock shelves, coolers, displays, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
• Maintain merchandise displays by keeping them full and fronted.
• Receive, open, unpack, and issue sales floor merchandise.
• Clean and maintain display cases, shelves, equipment, and aisles.
• Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure accuracy.
• Record shift hours accurately and verify time sheets.
• Discuss problems concerning the stock with the store manager and/or assistant manager.
• Perform specific tasks as assigned by the store manager and/or assistant manager.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Required to have access to a phone at all times.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• Able to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 34 to 20 degrees for minutes at a time.
• Able to read, write, speak, hear, and understand the English language.
