About the Role
Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stocker to support warehouse operations by collecting, sorting, and stocking incoming products in designated inventory locations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring products are readily available to fulfill customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Collect pallets and totes of incoming products from receiving areas.
- Accurately sort and transport products to designated putaway locations.
- Inspect, count, and stock inventory into assigned bin locations using RF scanners and AS400 systems.
- Apply product labels as required to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Safely operate pallet jacks to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Follow established warehouse procedures, preferred methods, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with housekeeping and general warehouse organization.
- Rotate through various operational functions based on business needs.
- Support other departments and warehouse operations as needed.
- Contribute to achieving departmental productivity, quality, and safety goals.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to accurately count, track, and manage inventory.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry products throughout an 8-hour or longer shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and participate in team lifts for items exceeding 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and exposure to operational noise from equipment such as conveyors and forklifts.
Preferred:
- Previous warehouse, stocking, distribution, or inventory management experience.
- Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or AS400.
- Familiarity with inventory control and material handling processes.
Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse setting and requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures and equipment-related noise throughout their shift.
