Stocker

Position Summary

Stocks and straightens merchandise for sale in the warehouse. Clears and cleans aisles. Provides a high level of member service.

Responsibilities

• Spot for forklift drivers to keep people out of the fall‑danger zone.
• Follow all safety and security procedures, including proper lifting and correct compactor operation.
• Follow merchandising standards and practices: align product, collect and return stray items, stock to maintain high product levels.
• Communicate with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plans and priorities.
• Write lists of products to be brought from steel by forklift driver for stocking.
• Use box knives to cut boxes for display/accessibility and to cut twine or shrink‑wrap from pallets.
• Wrap, tie, and tag pallets to be returned to steel.
• Stock opened cases on shelves.
• Move and position pallets of merchandise using a manual pallet jack; stack product from partial pallets onto full pallets.
• Set up display models, assembling as necessary, and modify displays for safe handling by members (e.g., bolting heavy equipment, taping blade edges).
• Pull loose cardboard and slip‑sheets from the floor.
• Clear the sales floor of debris, sweep, and remove empty pallets.
• Operate cardboard baler and trash compactor.
• Assist members by loading large items into carts, directing them to products, and providing product status information.
• Ensure proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery as needed.
• Assist with department duties and support other warehouse departments as necessary.

Requirements

• Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
