Job Duties

• Sets up display models, assembling as necessary.
• Modifies displays for safe handling by members, e.g., bolting heavy equipment, taping blade edges.
• Pulls loose cardboard and slip-sheets from floor.
• Cleans the sales floor of debris and sweeps.
• Removes empty pallets from the sales floor.
• Operates cardboard baler and trash compactor.
• Helps members to load large items into their cart.
• Directs members to products.
• Relates product status knowledge.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety and security procedures, such as lifting properly, correct compactor operation.
• Knowledge of merchandising standards and practices.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plans and priorities.
