Stock Manager

About the role

The Stock Manager is responsible for maintaining high productivity, efficiency, and customer service while managing the team responsible for stocking items and ensuring the warehouse remains neat and orderly. This is not a supervisory role but requires dynamic, career-minded individuals dedicated to their work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency, and customer service
• Ensure customer service goals are continuously met
• Formulate and enforce picking goals for each area/zone of the warehouse
• Ensure dock-to-stock for most lines within 72 hours
• Work with purchasing to develop and implement procedures for unloading orders from vendors and stocking them on shelves
• Ensure trucks/trailers are efficiently and accurately loaded/unloaded to support the movement of goods and meet sales objectives
• Work with dispatchers and the outbound production team to enhance customer service via delivery vehicles
• Check in and post orders from hubs and vendors
• Maintain an accurate count of inventory
• Assist parts pullers in locating and identifying parts
• Handle damaged deliveries, report damaged merchandise to shippers and vendors
• Coordinate with the store manager and purchasing on inventory updates and replacements
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Oversee warehouse operations, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA standards
• Administer and follow 5S warehouse principles routinely
• Manage carrier (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.) and local (contract) delivery relationships

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience as a stock manager
• Expertise in supply chain, logistics, and time-sensitive distribution
• Experience with WMS/inventory management systems, RF technology, and conveyor technology
• Ability to multi-task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations
• Self-starter with the ability to identify and address production delays proactively
• Experience tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as inbound/outbound productivity
• Knowledge of automotive parts preferred
• Forklift, Hazmat, and OSHA certifications preferred
• Clean/valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours, squat, bend, reach, climb, and descend stairs safely
• Ability to operate powered equipment (e.g., forklift, cherry picker)
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Ability to secure and transfer cash or other assets
