Stock Associate

About the role

The Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They also maintain the organization, cleanliness, and readiness of the stock room.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive first impression by adhering to the dress code.
• Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by following store standards and maintaining cleanliness in the stock room and on the selling floor.
• Notify management of any shipment discrepancies and missed markdowns in the stock room.
• Sensor, steam, fold, and hang merchandise as needed.
• Bring new goods to the selling floor and replenish merchandise from the stock room to the selling floor.
• Execute transfers, RTVs (Return to Vendor), manage damages, and handle customer charge sends.
• Ensure the stock room is organized, clean, and merchandise is floor-ready at all times.
• Complete all duties as assigned by management and be punctual and adhere to designated work schedule.
• Work well with peers and management to accomplish duties and follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.
• Participate in all store meetings and other related functions and represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.
• Participate in all inventories and assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or stockroom experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
