Stock Assistant - Early Morning

Pay: £8.00 per hour (ages 16–17), £12.71 per hour (ages 18+)

Schedule: 12 hours per week, early mornings (shift starts between 5am–6am)

About the role

Every visit to our store is a chance to make someone’s day—from the first hello to the final thank you. Our Sales Assistants are the foundation of our stores, ensuring every customer leaves with exactly what they came for and a lasting impression that brings them back. As a Stock Assistant, you’ll be one of the first to arrive, preparing the store before doors open. You’ll handle deliveries, check stock, and get products onto the shop floor while also maintaining displays, updating prices, and assisting customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to support strong CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) scores, ensuring every customer receives a welcoming, helpful, and memorable experience
• Handle stock and product flow, including preparing deliveries for merchandising on the shop floor
• Break down deliveries, organise products by department and sub-category for efficient replenishment
• Maintain warehouse controls, ensuring a clean and safe working area
• Prepare totes and pallets for salvage collection
• Assist with customer-facing tasks, including:
  • Operating tills with efficiency and care, ensuring items are packed safely
  • Helping shoppers find products and offering knowledgeable support
  • Using iPad systems to place orders for home delivery when items are unavailable
  • Delivering Made to Measure services for bespoke curtains and blinds
  • Styling key areas like bedding displays to inspire customers
