Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as grooming, meals, and mobility when needed.
- Monitor resident behaviors and report changes in mood, behavior, or condition to nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and therapeutic interaction to residents experiencing mental health challenges.
- Maintain a calm, structured, and safe environment for all residents.
- Support nursing staff with observation rounds and documentation.
- Help de-escalate situations using trained behavioral support techniques.
- Ensure resident dignity, safety, and respect at all times.
Qualifications
- Must possess a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in Ohio.
- Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or memory care is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, patience, and observation skills.
